Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh met with leaders of the Japanese Government and parliament, along with Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith, on the sidelines of the 25th International Conference on the Future of Asia in Tokyo on May 30.

Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh has underscored the need for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to strengthen its intra-bloc unity and central role in regional and international issues, especially those regarding peace, stability and development.
