According to Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the number of foreign tourist to Vietnam reached 6.2 million, in six first months of 2017, up 30.2% year-on-year.

Foreign tourist arrivals to Vietnam in December reached an estimated 879,000, a year-on-year increase of 18%, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

Visitor numbers have spiked to 8 million.

Foreign tourist arrivals to Vietnam are estimated to reach over 899,700 this August, up 6.3% over a year earlier and 34.4% from the previous month, reported the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT).

In spite of economic difficulties, foreign tourist arrivals to Viet Nam still reached more than 6 million in the first nine months of 2014, a year-on-year rise of 10.4%, according to the General Statistics Office.
