The COVID-19 pandemic has been developing complicatedly, with hundreds of new infections detected in dozens of provinces and cities nationwide. Fortunately, Ninh Binh province has to date recorded no positive cases but it is still facing a high risk of COVID-19 outbreaks. To actively prevent the pandemic, relevant agencies, sectors and units in the province have been carrying out measures to curb the potential spread of COVID-19 in the community.

Vietnam needs to continue with strong measures at airports and border gates to curb the spread of COVID-19 and respond to complex developments in the pandemic around the globe, heard a meeting of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control in Hanoi on March 16.

The Government's monthly meeting opened on October 29th morning with focus on measures to create a leap in the last quarter's economic growth rate and curb this year's inflation within 5 percent.

The interest rates on Vietnamese dong credits and deposits slashed by 1.5-2 percent over the previous year, helping remove difficulties for businesses, curb inflation and stabilise the monetary market.
