    Ninh Binh province boasts a lot of potential and advantages to develop its fishery sector as it has a 15-kilometer coastline and over 6,200 hectares of brackish water surface and over 20,000 hectares of inland fresh water surface for aquaculture. In addition, the province's fishery sector has an abundant and experienced workforce. These potential and advantages have helped the local fishery sector develop strongly in recent years, thus contributing greatly to the province's economic structure, increasing incomes and creating jobs for local people and stabilising the socio-economic situation.
