Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on May 11 had separate meetings with Presidents of Myanmar U Thein Sein and Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on the sidelines of the 24th ASEAN Summit in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

Sáng 11/5, tại phiên họp toàn thể Hội nghị Cấp cao ASEAN lần thứ 24, Thủ tướng Chính phủ Nguyễn Tấn Dũng đã khẩn thiết kêu gọi các nước ASEAN, các nước trên thế giới, các cá nhân và Tổ chức quốc tế tiếp tục lên tiếng phản đối hành động vi phạm nghiêm trọng của Trung Quốc và ủng hộ yêu cầu hợp pháp, chính đáng của Việt Nam.

Ngày 10/5, các Bộ trưởng Ngoại giao ASEAN đã ra tuyên bố về tình hình hiện nay ở Biển Đông. Các Bộ trưởng Ngoại giao ASEAN bày tỏ quan ngại sâu sắc về các vụ việc đang diễn ra trên Biển Đông đã làm gia tăng tình hình căng thẳng ở khu vực.
