It is one of the national key projects and an exemplary model, hence its quality must be placed first.
In order to complete the sub-project on scheduled, and ensure quality and safety, related units have been urgently carrying out their works.
Work started on the sub-project in December 2019, and it is expected to be completed before December 31, 2021. The sub-project includes an expressway section with a total length of 15.2 kilometers, frontage roads of 22 kilometers, seven flyovers and three tunnels.
In the recent time, the Department of Transport of Ninh Binh province has been actively mobilising experienced architects and highly-skilled workers, and used modern machines and advanced technologies. At the same time, it has closely monitored the construction site so that it can remove difficulties in carrying out the sub-project.
Besides, the Xuan Truong Construction Company has been closely worked with the investor and other related parties to address difficulties while carrying out the sub-project, ensuring its progress.
According to the Department of Transport, the site clearance has been completed while 60 percent of the sub-project's construction and installment workload has been accomplished. Of which, 72 percent of the construction of the flyovers has been finished, meanwhile only 22 percent of the construction of the tunnels has been done.
As there are 200 days left to complete all items of the sub-project, the provincial Department of Transport, in conjunction with the Xuan Truong Construction Company, on March 12 launched an emulation campaign, aiming to complete the building of the Cao Bo - Mai Son expressway section within 200 days and ensure its quality.
Accordingly, they called on all officials, engineers and worker to make concerted efforts to synchronically carry out items of the project, striving to complete it within 200 days, and ensuring the quality and safety.
Director of the Department of Transport Le Trong Thanh said accelerating the progress of the sub-project will help promote its effectiveness. After completion, the sub-project will establish a complete expressway section running through Ha Noi, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh, connecting key economic and industrial zones, completing the synchronous transport infrastructure and increasing the capacity of goods transportation in these areas.
In particular, the sub-project will also contribute to improving the national economy's competitiveness in the context of international integration; minimizing traffic congestion and accidents, connecting and promoting the efficiency of roads that have been and are being built; and creating favourable conditions for socio-economic development of localities where the sub-project runs through.
