Ninh Binh's tourism sector strives to revive and grow

Ninh Binh's tourism has become a bright spot in the nation's travel map, and ranked among top 15 must- see destinations and among top 10 cities and provinces receiving the large number of guests, thus contributing to the province's socio-economic growth and creating a driving force for other sectors to develop.

 In the past time, the Department of Tourism has actively worked with sectors, branches and, localities to enhance state management work on tourism fields, inspect the performance of accomodation establishments, restaurants, tourism services in terms of social security, environment conditions and technical infrastructure as well as the implementation the "dual goals" of fighting the pandemic and reviving tourism under the direction of the Government, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee and functional agencies.

 Besides, the Department submitted documents to the provincial People's Committee to provide finnancial support for travel guides and travel firms who suffered the great impacts from the Covid-19 pandemic.

 In addition, provincial authorities also supported travel firms to promote tourism products, programmes at domestic tourism trade fairs and establish tourism linkages with other cities and provinces like Quang Binh, Hue, Da Nang and Quang Nam.

 Furthermore, the tourism sector has built plans on training labourers; carried out numerous solutions to draw labourers return to work; accelerated the tourism digitalisation; boosted the tourism linkage with other provinces and cities; cooperated with airlines and travel firms to build plans on tourism linkages and programmes.

 At the same time, the tourism sector has taken actively in promoting tourism image in a bid to widely advertise Ninh Binh's tourism.

The promotion work has been done constanly on tourisms websites, portals, social platforms such as facebook, zalo, youtube, tiktok…in Vietnamese, English and French languages.

 Numerous tourism products have been launched to attract more tourists such tourism week of Cuc Phuong Jungle and sport-culture festival of ethnic minorities, water stage in Hoa Lu old quarter, and tourism week of Tam Coc.

 In the first 6 months of 2022, the province is estimated to welcome nearly 1.78 million visitors, 104.95% higher than the same period of 2021. Of them, domestic tourists were nearly 1.76 million, while international visitors were more than 18,000. The province earned 1.05 trillion VND (44,8 million USD) from tourism services, 88.71% higher than the the same period last year.

 In the coming time, Ninh Binh's tourism industry will continue to implementingthe direction of the central, local governments and the recommendations of the health sector on reviving tourism associated with ensuring the prevention and control of  Covid-19 as a base for developing tourism sustainably in 2022 and in the following years.
