The sub-project is part of Ninh Binh - Nam Dinh - Thai Binh - Hai Phong expressway project.
Attending the ceremony member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Nam Dinh provincial Party Committee Pham Gia Tuc; Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Nam Dinh provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Pham Dinh Nghi, and Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cao Son, among others.
The sub-project is invested by Nam Dinh province and has total investment capital of 1.45 trillion VND (61.7 million USD). It has a total length of 2 kilometers, running through Khanh Cuong and Khanh Trung communes of Yen Khanh district (Ninh Binh province) and of Nghia Chau, Nghia Trung and Nghia Thai communes of Nghia Hung district (Nam Dinh province).
It is designed to have four lanes and a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
The sub-project plays a significant role in connecting arterial roads of Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh provinces, thus gradually completing the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway and enhancing inter-regional connectivity.
The project is hoped to ease traffic flows on the existing transport system and minimise travelling time between the provinces of Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh and Hai Phong city.
It is also expected to create momentum for investment attraction, generate jobs for local labourers and boost socio-economic development of Ninh Binh and the region.
The sub-project is scheduled to complete construction by the end of 2024.
