Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tran Song Tung briefed the delegation about the province's achievements in socio-economic development as well as its potential and advantages, stressing that Ninh Binh has pursued a green, sustainable economic growth and considered tourism as a spearhead economic sector.
In the past years, the province's tourism sector has witnessed strong growth, with increasing numbers of tourist arrivals. It has focused on developing hi-quality tourism services. Besides traditional markets such as the Republic of Korea and Japan, the province will target the EU, US, Chinese and Indian markets in the coming time.
For her part, Awantika Sood said Warner Bros. Discovery is a famous global media group that provides information in diverse fields for 2.2 billion viewers in more than 230 countries and territories with 51 different languages, saying that these would be more useful for Ninh Binh to advertise and promote tourism potential.
The group has cooperated with tourism management agencies of Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, India and Indonesia, she said, adding that it now wants to establish long-term cooperative ties with Ninh Binh.
Tung assigned the Department of Tourism to coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Office of the provincial People's Committee to study and propose a specific cooperation plan with Warner Bros. Discovery.
