VND17.8 trillion for Ninh Binh - Thanh Hoa expressway

The 107-km expressway will be built connecting northern Ninh Binh province and central Thanh Hoa province.
An investment of VND17.8trillion ($813.37 million) will be poured into the expressway construction under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. It will be divided into two sections - the first from Ninh Binh to Dong Xuan commune in Thanh Hoa and the second from Dong Xuan to Nghi Son commune in the same province.
Once completed, it will have six lanes and a maximum speed of 120 km/h. In the first stage, the expressway will have four lanes and a maximum speed of 80 km/h.
The expressway is a key project and is part of the north-south expressway scheme in the National Master Plan on Road till 2020 with an orientation to 2030 approved by the Prime Minister.
