According to Resolution 556/NQ-UBTVQH14 dated July 31, 2018, the plan of using VND15 trillion will be channelled into four important and urgent railway projects valued VND7 trillion in total and 10 important and urgent road projects with VND8 trillion.
In addition, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly assigned the Government to direct relevant agencies and localities to expeditiously carry out investment procedures and allocate capital plans for those projects in a proper and effective manner.
Railway projects include the rehabilitation and upgrade of weak bridges and other works on Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City Railway (VND1.95 trillion); reinforcement of weak tunnels, opening of new stations and upgrading of upper layer on Vinh - Nha Trang Rail Section (VND1.8 trillion); upgrading and restoration of essential works on Hanoi - Vinh Railway (VND1.4 trillion); and the upgrading and rehabilitation of essential works on Nha Trang - Saigon Railway (VND1.85 trillion).
Ten road projects consist of a road connecting National Highway 4C and National Highway 4D (VND430 billion); National Highway 3B (VND755 billion); Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway with Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Highway (VND1,379 billion); rehabilitation and upgrade of important sections on National Highway 24 (VND1,000 billion); rehabilitation and upgrade of important sections on National Highway 25 (VND850 billion); Lien Khuong bypass road on National Highway 27 (VND193 billion); rehabilitation and upgrade of Tra Vinh - Long Toan traffic section on National Highway 53 (VND800 billion); rehabilitation and upgrade of a traffic section from Dinh Khao Ferry Landing to Mo Cay Town in Ben Tre province (VND875 billion); rehabilitation and upgrade of Quan Lo - Phung Hiep road surface (VND900 billion); upgrade of Cao Lanh - Hong Ngu section, Dong Thap province on National Highway 30 (VND800 billion).
