Accordingly, Yen Bai will receive VND 25 billion and Hoa Binh, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An will receive VND10 billion each.
The money should be spent on upgrading and repairing essential infrastructure such as irrigation works, roads in rural areas and dykes.

The storm, the third to enter the East Sea so far this year, caused the collapse of 44 houses, unroofed 651 houses and inundated 1,511 houses. Nearly 2,000 head of cattle and poultry were killed, over 10,000 hectares of rice and vegetables were damaged entirely or partly and hundreds of trees were uprooted.
Fourteen bridges in the provinces collapsed. Thousands of roads, canals and dams were submerged and damaged. Blackouts occurred in a number of areas due to fallen power columns and damaged transmission lines.
