Vietnam's national futsal team are scheduled to take on Thailand, Group A's winners, in the semi-finals of the Futsal HDBank Championship Southeast Asia 2019, with the tie due to take place on October 25.
In Vietnam's previous match on October 23, they ran out 4-2 winners over Malaysia, leaving the team with seven points from the group stages.
Elsewhere in Group B, Indonesia enjoyed a thumping 8-3 victory over Australia, leaving them tied with Vietnam on seven points.
With both teams level on points, Indonesia surpassed Vietnam to clinch top spot in Group B due to goal difference.
As a result, Vietnam will face the tricky task of playing Thailand for a place in the competition's finals.
If the national team are unable to beat Thailand, then they will lose the right to compete in the AFC Futsal Championship Finals next year in Turkmenistan
