Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC's Organisation Commission, To Huy Rua met with Russian Communist Party (RCP) First Secretary Gennady Zyuganov in Moscow on October 23 to discuss co-operative measures.
In a cordial atmosphere of mutual understanding, the two officials discussed the situation in each country and party, exchanged working experiences and discussed party building, party organisation and measures to enhance bilateral co-operation.
The Russian official affirmed the RCP's support for the policies of President Vladimir Putin, the Russian Government and Parliament on prioritising comprehensive co-operation with Vietnam in the power, atomic energy and oil and gas sectors.
He promised to do his utmost to help realise bilateral agreements and deepen the Vietnam-Russia strategic partnership.
On the same day, Politburo member Rua met with staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Russia.
