Vietnam record second win at world championship

Woman Grandmaster, Nguyen Thi Mai Hung, rapidly completed her match against Mammadova Gulnar in just 33 points to claim the first win for Vietnam.

WGM Hoang Thị Bao Tram needed double the time to secure the second victory over Mamedjarova Zeinab.

National champion, Vo Thi Kim Phung, was tied with Mammadzada Gunay.

And in the last game, Luong Phuong Hanh lost to Fataliyeva Ulviyya in a 92-move match.

It was the second win recorded by Vietnam at the tournament, following the first win over Egypt on June 18.

Vietnam will next play Georgia, who lost 0.5-3.5 to China on June 21.

In other matches, India beat Egypt 3-1; Russia tied 2-2 with the US and Poland drew Ukraine 2-2.
