Vietnam jumps two spots in FIFA rankings

The Vietnam men's national football team has moved up to 151st position in the latest FIFA rankings for October.
The Vietnam team is ranked 27th in the Asian region and in 4th in Southeast Asia, following the Philippines (no. 137 overall), Thailand (143) and Myanmar (149).
Other teams in the region also improved in the FIFA rankings. Singapore jumped four places to 155th, Malaysia climbed one place to 160th, Indonesia advanced eight spots to 162nd and Laos climbed five spots to 167th.
Spain remains atop the world standings, followed by Germany and Argentina.
There were big changes in the world top ten, with Italy slipping four places to 8th in the world, while Switzerland is now ranked 7th, a gain of seven places.
