Chairman of the Kansai Economic Federation (KEF), Shosuke Mori, who is heading a delegation of business representatives from Kansai, Japan visiting Vietnam, made the statement during a meeting with State President Truong Tan Sang in Hanoi on April 16.
Welcoming the guests, President Sang said he valued the economic collaborative efforts between Kansai and the ministries, provinces and cities of Vietnam. He thanked businesses from Kansai for their financial support to Vietnam and affirmed the significance of the strategic alliance of Japan in Vietnam's foreign policy.
The State leader remarked that with Kansai's strengths and the active collective efforts from both sides, trade will be further promoted and KEF will succeed in trade and with Vietnam. He also asked KEF to study and suggest new financial enterprises based on favourable conditions of direct flights, numerous students studying in Kansai and the mutual traditional understanding.
Thanks to support of the Vietnamese Party and State leaders and efforts of diplomatic missions, the capital of Kansai businesses has amounted to 20% of Japanese investment in Vietnam, said Chairman Mori.
He hoped that the KEF will consult with Vietnam effectively on policies to improve the investment environment so that the agreements between the two sides' will be realised./.
