The exhibition, which kicked off on November 2 at the Intercontinental Asiana Saigon Hotel in District 1, also highlights Vietnam's regional and international integration, as well as the local investment climate.
It offers an opportunity for the participating businesses to promote their products and services while seeking domestic and foreign partners.
Local administrations are also using the occasion to introduce their economic achievements, along with their opportunities and potential for both domestic and international cooperation.
Addressing the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said the exhibition was part of activities to realise the Government's action plan aimed at promoting the image of Vietnamese businesses, people and culture and the investment opportunities, economic landscape and tourism in Vietnam in the eyes of foreign friends.
The 2016 Vietnam Summit, due to open on November 3, sought to show international businesses that Vietnam was determined to comprehensively reform its economy in the next few years, to build an incorruptible and constructive Government to serve the people and businesses, improve its investment climate and encourage the startup spirit, he stressed.
The summit will discuss various issues, including the nation's position in the global economy, the future of the manufacturing sector, rice production, industrial production and the investment environment.
