Within the framework of the 12th Vietnam-France decentralised cooperation conference, delegates on April 16 visited the northern province of Ninh Binh.
The delegation was led by Catherine Deroche, Chairwoman of the Committee for Social Affairs and President of the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Group (FVFPG) at the French Senate, who is also head of the French delegation to the 12th Vietnam-France decentralised cooperation conference.
The delegation was received by Secretary of the Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan; Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Cao Son, and leaders of provincial departments, sectors and agencies.
Ngoc briefed the guests on the province's socio-economic development situation.
Deroche spoke highly of Ninh Binh's outcomes and thanked the province's leaders for their warm welcome and support for the delegation's trip.
She expressed her hope to welcome working delegations of Vietnam in general and Ninh Binh in particular to France in the coming time.
Ngoc hoped that the visit would help Ninh Binh to introduce its cultural and historical values as well as promote its beauty and potential to the French delegates, thus contributing to the success of the 12th Vietnam-France decentralised cooperation conference.
The delegation previously visited Hoa Lu ancient capital and Trang An scenic landscape complex - UNESCO-recognised natural and cultural heritage site.
