Tran Xuan Hiep edged out Seungjae Cho from the Republic of Korea (RoK) with 9.68 points to take gold in the men's daoshu (sword) event, while his teammate Duong Thuy Vi won the gold medal in the women's qiangshu (spear) category with 9.62 points.
The gold medal in the women's 48kg sanshou (combat) division went to Nguyen Thi Chinh.
Duong Thuy Vi also earned silver in the women's jianshu (sword) event with 9.66 points and bronze in the changquan (long-range combat) with 9.67 points.
Overall, the Vietnamese team won three gold, six silver and three bronze medals.
The Chinese team claimed the top position at the week-long tournament, which drew the participation of more than 320 martial artists from 28 countries and territories around the world.
