Vietnam defeats Indonesia at Asian U-16 football qualifiers

The Vietnamese players kicked off the match confidently, creating aggressive attacks and grabbing a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute with a goal from striker Trong Hoa.

In the second half, U-16 Vietnam continued to produce quick attacks while maintaining its defensive shape. The second goal came in the 80th minute, when Trong Hoa widened the lead to 2-0.

In the 89th minute, Indonesia narrowed the gap to 1-2 with a goal by Riyanto. The late comeback bid was ultimately unsuccessful, and the match ended without further scoring.

* U-16 Japan earned an easy 9-0 win over U-16 Philippines in another match, helping Japan claim the top spot in group J.

U-16 Vietnam, currently second in the group, will face U-16 Japan in its next match on September 27.
