Vietnam-Cuba friendship celebrated in Ninh Binh

The event was co-held by the Viet Nam-Cuba Friendship Association and Ninh Binh province.

The celebration, which also marked the 57th National Day of Cuba, was attended by Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Herminio Lopez Diaz, Nguyen Duy Cuong, Vice Chairman of theVietnam - Cuba Friendship Association and Ninh Binh officials.

Speaking at the meeting, Le Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee sent the best wishes to the Cuban Embassy's staff and congratulated the Cuban people on their socio - economic achievements made over the past 57 years.

Viet Nam always treasures Cuba's solidarity and wholehearted support for its past struggle for independence as well as its current nation-building and development, he said.

The Vice Chairman called for stronger cooperation between the two countries in general, and that of Cuban localities and Ninh Binh in particular.

Herminio Lopez Diaz, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam, thanked the host for warm welcome and said that he was impressed by the strong socio-economic development of Ninh Binh and its beautiful landscapes.

He expressed his belief that the younger generations would continue writing new historic chapters and deepening the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

The delegation made a tour of some signature destinations in Ninh Binh.
