Viet Nam to purchase nearly 20 million Pfizer vaccine doses

The Government has decided to buy additional 19,998,810 doses of Pfizer vaccine.
To date 13,772,920 doses of vaccines have been administered in Viet Nam, with 1,271,973 people fully vaccinated.
Viet Nam confirmed 265,464 COVID-19 cases as of 6:30 pm on August 14, ranking 80th among 222 countries and territories in the world in terms of infection numbers.
Of the national patient tally, nearly 97,000 patients have recovered and exited hospitals, according to the Ministry of Health.
The Southeast Asian country's death toll reached 5,437, ranking 69th in the world in terms of fatalities.
