Vice President of Mayors for Peace visits NinhBinh

Mr Thore was briefed about advantages and socio-economic condition of the province.

Chairman Dien expressed his wish that the visit would help the Vice President understand Ninh Binh's potential, strengths, and incentive policies and inform them to his friends and organization.

He added that Mr Thore would make it easier for Ninh Binht o study the joining of the organization.

TheVice President thanked the province for its warm welcome and informed his host that Mayors for Peace is an international organization, supported by 1,000 cities in 61 countries and regions worldwide. HaNoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Hue are also members of this organization.

Once joining Mayors for Peace, cities will have a chance to exchange and seek solutions to ensuring social welfare, human rights, environmental protection and poverty reduction with a ultimate goal of safeguarding lasting peace in the world.

Ninh Binh should study the joining of Mayors for Peace and reply as soon as possible,Thore added.
