Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee receives Japanese professor

At the reception, Thin briefed his guest on the province's outstanding features in terms of strategic geological location, culture and history. 

He also expressed his hope that the professor would contribute precious ideas and experiences relating to the province's urban planning, and preserving and promoting heritage value in a bid to spur socio-economic development and tourist attraction, thereby building Ninh Binh into a millennium heritage city and an innovation hub in the future.

For his part, Prof. Shigeru Satoh thanked the host for warm welcome and said that he had spent 20 years on consulting and support the central province of Thua Thien-Hue to conduct an archeological research in Hue ancient citadel.

Satoh expressed his impression at the harmonic combination between cultural heritage, mountains and water in ancient buildings and architects in Hoa Lu ancient capital. These are abundant potential for Ninh Binh to invite more international researchers, professors and scientists to study so as to enrich cultural and historical values for the 1,000-year-old capital as well as to develop the tourism sector, he added.

Vietnam and Japan shared similarities in terms of culture, human and history, so the two countries would have same viewpoints on the world, he said.

 Satoh hoped to have opportunities to study and make field trip to Ninh Binh and join hands with experts, scientists and consultants to support the province in promoting its strengths, preserving and upholding the ancient capital's values.
