The VFF leader also paid tribute to fallen soldiers at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel where fierce fighting took place over 81 days and nights in 1972.
The same day, during his working visit to the central province of Quang Binh, VFF President Man paid a floral tribute and offered incense to the legendary General Vo Nguyen Giap at his tomb.
The delegations also handed over houses of gratitude and gifts to two families of revolutionary contributors and visited Vietnamese heroic mothers in Quang Binh.
The VFF head affirmed the Party and State always pay attention to caring for those who made contributions to the country, especially Vietnamese heroic mothers, and families of wounded and fallen soldiers.
As scheduled, the VFF President will chair a conference on building a Vietnam-Laos borderline of peace, friendship and comprehensive cooperation for mutual development in 2017 in Dong Hoi city, Quang Binh province, on July 14.
