The highlight of the celebrations will be a ceremony on April 26 in the Trang An Landscape Complex. The ceremony aims to honour achievements and contributions of organisations and individuals in managing, preserving and promoting the heritage's values as well as spreading the heritage's values to younger generations.
In addition, various activities have been held, including a traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival and Fair, which was held from January 19 to February 15 in Hoa Lu Old Quarter (Ninh Binh city) to advertise local specialities and provide fresh experiences for visitors.
An international scientific seminar with the theme of "Promoting the role and values of the Trang An cultural and natural heritage in building a millennium heritage city and connecting world UNESCO heritage cities" will be held in April.
Moreover, a scientific seminar themed "Hanh Cung Vu Lam in the process of forming and developing Truc Lam - Yen Tu Buddhism thought of King Tran Nhan Tong and the cultural and historical values of old painting "Truc Lam dai si xuat Son Do".
Other activities include an exhibition on cultural values of Ninh Binh and Trang An; a photo exhibition featuring Vietnam's nine UNESCO-recognised world heritage sites and a seminar on developing archaeological tourism; Tourism Week of Tam Coc - Trang An; a national festival of cuisine and tourism; a writing contest on preserving and promoting the values of Trang An and developing sustainable tourism; a bonsai exhibition of the Red River Delta and a contest on designing souvenirs associated with heritage, cultural and historical values.
The 10th anniversary of UNESCO recognition of Trang An Landscape Complex is expected to demonstrate the importance of Trang An landscape as well as the formation, development of historical, cultural values of this region.
