Twelve OCOP products certified in Ninh Binh

Those products are food, drinks and handicraft products like embroidery, stone carving, sedge mat. Among which, ten products are rated four stars including Ninh Van stone carving, Ninh Hai embroidery, Fried rice cake, Bo Bat ceramic, wine…. and two products are rated three stars comprising Khanh Thanh commune vegetable and curcumin powder.

The OCOP programme was launched in 2018 to develop one strong product for each commune. It has contributed to develop rural economy and increase income for the locals while preserving traditions in each region, according to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

According to the department, after the issuance of OCOP certificates, products have been given stamps to trace their origin.
