According to Vice Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee Truong Quang Thin, this year's festival, organised at the provincial level, is imbued with the cultural identity of the North Vietnamese Delta.
The festival includes an art performance programme praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and the country in the renovation process.
Various activities like sports and folk games… are also held during the festival.
The Truong Yen Festival was officially recognised as national intangible cultural heritage in 2015.
