Truong Yen festival opens in Ninh Binh

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Dien highlighted the accomplishments of Kings Dinh Tien Hoang who founded a strong dynasty that fostered long-term independence for the nation.

This is also a chance to remind the offspring of the traditional national construction and defence fostered by the ancestors, as well as promote patriotism and national pride among younger generations and encourage them to do more for the nation, he noted.

Truong Yen festival has been recognised as national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Also at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue announced the Prime Minister's Decision on recognising the stone pillar carved with Buddhist scripts at Nhat Tru pagoda in Hoa Lu district as a national treasure.
