Representatives of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee, the investors and contractors reported to the delegation about the progress of construction and difficulties while carrying out these sub-projects.
For the Cao Bo - Mai Son sub-project, 100 percent of the revoked land area has been handed over to the investor and over 54.6 percent of the construction and installment workload has been completed with a total value of around 635 billion VND (27.5 million USD).
For the section of the Mai Son - National Highway 45 sub-project running through Ninh Binh province has a total length of 14.35 kilometers. To date, the site for 9.8 kilometers, or 68.5 percent of the section's total length, has been cleared.
There remained bottlenecks at seven locations in Tam Diep city.
This sub-project is estimated to cost 12.91 trillion VND (560 million USD) in total, including 526 billion VND for site clearance for the section running through Ninh Binh province.
Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The asked localities, contractors and units to work together closely to removing difficulties in implementing these sub-projects. At the same time, they must ensure quality of construction, working safety and progress of these sub-projects, he said.
Besides, the investors must ensure initial conditions of residential roads after the sub-projects are completed, avoiding to affect the lives of local residents along the two sides of the expressway.
The minister urged localities to mobilise the entire political system to take part in the work, focusing on removing difficulties in site clearance and construction of infrastructure in resettlement areas to help local residents soon stabilise their lives.
