Cong and his delegation had a working session with Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Thach and leaders of departments and sectors.
The project building the road linking CauGie-Ninh Binh highway and National Highway No.1 second phase has 10,83km in length and consists of two side routes and four flyovers. It has a total investment of 3.2 trillion VND (141 million USD).
To date, land clearance has almost been completed and capital disbursement hit 387 billion VND.
The project investor has steered consultancy agencies to quicken the accomplishment of their files to submit them to the Ministry of Transport for examination and approval so the construction work would start in 2018.
The project on National Highway No.12B running through Tam Diep-Nho Quan has 27.5 km long, with a total investment of 1.1 trillion VND (48.4 million USD). The project has two packages and is invested by the Ho Chi Minh Trail Project Management Board.
Land clearance and technical infrastructure removal are underway. Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Thach told the transport offcials that Ninh Binh has always paid attention to steering the implementation of the two projects.
Speaking at the session,Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Cong said the ministry has asked investors, constructors agencies, and localities to focus accelerating land clearance to enable the implementation of the projects as scheduled.
The ministry agreed with the proposal of expanding 2km at the one end of the side route, Cong said.
However, he noted that heightening the foundation of the road to avoid floods as well as other technical adjustments need to be discussed carefully.
He stressed that the construction of the projects must comply with legal regulations and ensure the effectiveness of investment.
Construction units must ensure technical safety and environmental protection while undertaking the projects, he added.
