The Trang An Festival 2024 with the theme of "Coming to Trang An heritage" kicked off at the Trang An ecological tourism site on April 26.

Present at the opening were Mai Van Tuat, Standing Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council and Pham Quang Ngoc, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.
President of the 42nd General Conference of UNESCO Simona-Mirela Miculescu, who is on an official visit to Vietnam, also attended the event.
The annual Trang An Festival aims to commemorate the legendary national hero Saint Quy Minh Dai Vuong for his great contributions to protecting the country under the reign of the 18th Hung King.
Traditional rituals such as water, dragon and palanquin processions and offering sacrifices were held at Suoi Tien Temple where Saint Quy Minh Dai Vuong is worshiped.
The event also featured various cultural and musical activities to promote the distinctive traditions of Vietnamese from different areas in the country,
namely Quan Ho singing, Hue royal court music, Central Highlands Gong performance and Xam singing with the participation of nearly 600 artists and singers.
