The labour federations of Ninh Binh and Gangwon provinces signed an agreement on solidarity, friendship and cooperation in 2015. The trade unions of the two localities have shared close-knit relations.
At the session, representatives of the trade unions of Ninh Binh and Gangwon provinces briefed on their socio-economic development situation as well as potential and strength. They also reviewed the outcomes of their cooperative ties.
They also informed investment activities of Korean investors in Ninh Binh province. Currently, there are 41 FDI projects invested by Korean investors in the province.
Since 2020, over 800 people from Ninh Binh have worked in the Republic of Korea while there are over 100 Korean people had worked in Ninh Binh by the end of last year.
The two sides also agreed on a number of contents of cooperation in the coming time, such as creating favourable condition for Korean labourers to work in Ninh Binh and Vietnamese labourers to work in Gangwon; providing vocational training courses; organising cultural exchange programmes and exchanging experiences in protecting rights and interests of trade union members.
