The socio-economic situation of Ninh Binh in 2020

Specifically, scale of GRDP is estimated at VND 42.5 trillion, up 6.35 pct against 2019, ranking 10th nationwide; industrial production value is estimated at VND 1,120 million, up 1.2% compared to 2019. 

IIP grew by 6,54 pct as compared to 2029; province's investment capital estimated to hit 24.5 trillion VND, up 6.4 pct. 

Ninh Binh's tourism sector saw a sharp decline in both the number of tourist arrivals and tourism turnover due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, the province welcomed only 2.8 million visitors and earned nearly 1.6 trillion VND (69.4 million USD).

The average province's CPI increases 3,74 pct in comparison with last year. Export of goods is estimated at USD 2,4 billion, up 0,7% compared to 2019; import of goods is estimated at USD 31,520 billion, up 12.3%. Budget collection is estimated at over 19.1 trillion VND (824 million USD), exceeding 32.2 pct set by Provincial peoples council, representing an increase of 14.8 pct against 2019. 

 The new rural construction program has been pushed up with 100% of communes meeting new rural standards;  3 districts and one city have been recognised as having completed the new rural building programme, with 6 communes have met standards for new-style rural areas.

The career of culture, society, education, health and sports is developed, focusing on propaganda to welcome the Party Congress at all levels to the 13th National Party Congress of the Party. Ninh Binh ranked third for the quality of the prizes, second in the rate of students winning prizes compared to other provinces in the Red River Delta in the National Excellent Student Exam; 1 student win the championship of National Olympia contest 2020.
