Stunning lotus season in Hoa Lu ancient capital

Tourist destinations in the ancient capital of Hoa Lu in northern Ninh Binh province, which have been renowned for their natural beauty, now become more attractive thanks to stunning lotus ponds.
In 2019, several destinations in Hoa Lu district such as Tam Coc - Bich Dong, Thung Nham ecological site, Hang Mua (Mua Cave) began to plant Japanese lotus varieties.
The Japanese lotus blossoms all year round, and can last for longer time than other species of lotus.
Between the end of March and the beginning of April, lotus flowers at these destinations begin to bloom.
These stunning lotus ponds make the natural landscape at these destinations more beautiful, thus attracting more visitors to enjoy and take photos.
