The State President was accompanied by Party Central Committee members: Truong Minh Tuan, Minister of Information and Communications, and Nguyen Duc Chung, Chairman of the Hanoi municipal People's Committee.
In May 1957, President Ho Chi Minh decided to choose the Da Chong (K9) site as a place to work and rest for the Party Central Committee.
Many decisions and instructions of the Party Central Committee were issued here, contributing to the liberation of the South and the national reunification in 1975.
The K9 - Da Chong historical site is located about 70km west of Hanoi on the Ba Vi mountain range.
It was chosen as the central base of the Revolution by President Ho Chi Minh. It is also the place where the remains of Uncle Ho were kept during the war.
The memorial site holds historical and political significance and introduces visitors to the revolutionary life of President Ho Chi Minh, as well as his contributions to the revolutionary cause of the nation.
