State budget revenue increases by nearly 13% in first two months

Over VND129 trillion (roughly US$6.06 billion) was collected for the State budget in the first two months of 2014, a 12.9% year-on-year increase and equivalent to 26.6% of the year's estimate, according to the Ministry of Finance.
The domestic collection recorded VND93 trillion (US$4.37 billion), accounting for 17.3% of the year's estimated total.The increase was attributed to heightened production and trade in the last months of 2013 and the first month of 2014.Total budget spending for the first two months is estimated at VND150 trillion (US$7.05 billion), 15% of the year's plan and up 4.3% against the corresponding period last year.
