Deputy Do Van Duong (Ho Chi Minh City) suggested that the Government should stay up to date with the current situation, including defence and security developments, while properly assessing and forecasting the situation to the end of the year and into subsequent years, indicating potential challenges and setting suitable targets.
Other deputies voiced their concerns over policies and measures to develop agriculture and fisheries in a more sustainable and effective manner. They proposed that the Government continue implementing policies to support fishermen operating in remote sea waters and help them deal with risks and natural disasters at sea, while prioritising preferential credit loans for fishermen to upgrade fishing infrastructure.
Regarding the negotiation processes on several Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Deputy Vu Tien Loc (Thai Binh) proposed that the Government should devise more effective negotiation plans to ensure the economic feasibility of commitments, and that it help domestic enterprises benefit from FTAs.
