Smart tourism system helps draw more visitors to Ninh Binh
After the trial, which ended in June, 2018, the Department of Tourism has launched an information portal on tourism at website:visitninhbinh.vn and a smart tourism app called Ninh Binh Tourism for mobile devices.
Accoring to Mr Dinh Quang Tan, Director of the Ninh Binh center of information and technology, the smart tourism system will help users search for information related to accommodations, food, tourism destinations, shops, entertainment areas, travel and events, thus enabling them to save time and expense.
Besides, it helps promote tourism products broadly, develop high-grade tourism services, and open up bussiness opportunities.
In addition, the system will provide data and information about users, businesses, news, events and photos; feedback and suggestions from tourists about the quality of services, contributing to helping management agencies make appropriate adjustments and strategies.
As of August, more than 200 accommodation establishments, services, hotels and restaurants joined and updated information for the smart tourism system with an average of 200 users access the system per day.
In the time to come, the Tourism Promotion Center will continue to cooperate with the Ninh Binh center of Information Technology to develop other facilities such as artificial intelligence, destination identification and virtual enhancement.
