Seminar highlights Ninh Binh's renewal, innovation and development since its re-establishment

Attending the seminar were provincial leaders, representatives of local departments, sectors, organisations, and localities, and scientists from central research agencies.

The seminar was an important forum for departments, sectors and scientists to discuss and clarify Ninh Binh's advantages and potential as well as its achievements in the 30-years process of renewal. Experience, lessons and weaknesses were also mentioned at the seminar.

During the seminar, many scientists, specialists, managers and leaders of provincial departments and localities raised their opinions related to various important issues. 

Many suggested that in order to reap breakthroughs in the coming time, Ninh Binh should step up regional connectivity; enhance the quality of its human resources; improve its investment and business climate and accelerate administrative reform to help enterprises to recover and develop while flexibly adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It should define priority fields, including tourism, they said, adding that Ninh Binh should diversify tourism products, issue policies and measures to support tourism firms resume their operations after a period of closure due to the pandemic.

Concluding the seminar, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc stressed that the event was an important event to celebrate the 200^th anniversary of Ninh Binh appellation and 30 years of its re-establishment. It served as a chance to educate younger generations about the province's cultural tradition and history and send the message of "Ninh Binh - Solidarity, creativity andaspiration for rising up". 

The seminar was also seen as an opportunity to promote Ninh Binh's achievements, potential, advantages and propsects as well as the images of its land and people, he said.

It also served as an venue for businesses, and socio-economic organisations both in and outside the province to exchange, seek partners and promote investment, thus promoting the province's socio-economic development, the chairman said.

Ngoc asked provincial departments, sectors and localities to acquire the suggestions and opinions raised by participants so as to map out plans, orientations and tasks to step up Ninh Binh's socio-economic development, striving to develop Ninh Binh fast and sustainably and turning it into a leading province in the Red River Delta by 2030 as the target set in the Resolution of the 22^nd Congress of the provincial Party Organistion for the 2020 - 2025 tenure.
