Seminar discusses ways to foster development of start-up ecosystem for international integration in Ninh Binh

Attending the seminar were Doan Minh Huan, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee; representatives of central sectors, ministries, universities, institutes, domestic and foreign experts, scientists, investors and organisations supporting start-ups.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngọc said that the province has been restructuring its traditional economic sectors based on scientific-technological advances, and step up innovation, digital transformation and "green" transition.

At the same time, Ninh Binh has also paid due attention to developing new economic sectors that apply innovation, which is considered as a breakthrough measure to build Ninh Binh into a hub of innovation of the whole region, he said.

The seminar aimed to collect opinions from scientists, experts and investors to realize the targets set in the province's master planning scheme in the period of 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050, Ngoc stressed.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh spoke highly of Ninh Binh's efforts in supporting start-ups and innovation, and developing green economy and circular economy.

He asked Ninh Binh and other localities need to accompany and coordinate with the Ministry of Science and Technology in building and perfecting the legal framework for start-ups and innovation, thus contributing to creating a vibrant and sustainable start-up and innovation ecosystem.

At the seminar, delegates discussed numerous contents related to building, governing and operating the center of start-up and innovation, and developing the innovation start-up ecosystem for international integration in Ninh Binh.

These ideas would help Ninh Binh to spur the development of the green start-up ecosystem and strive to build it into an attractive destination for start-ups, investors and international partners, thereby contributing to socio-economic development of the province, the region and the whole country.
