Seminar defines characters of Ninh Binh in association with building local brand names

The seminar was co-chaired by member of theParty Central Committee and Secretary of the Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan, and President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences Phan Chi Hieu.

The seminar aimed to evaluate and define unique characters of Ninh Binh, thus laying a foundation for choosing and standardising local products, services and brand names.

The seminar also aimed to seek proposals and suggestions from experts, scientists, managers and partners in building local brand names, thus increasing the position and general value of Ninh Binh's land, culture - history, and people.

Participants also put forth special solutions and mechanisms to help Ninh Binh realise its target of fast and sustainable development in the new context.

Speaking at the seminar, Dr. Phan Chi Hieu, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, said the seminar included three separate sessions, discussing related issues to realise Ninh Binh's development aspirations and build new brand names for the province, thus turning it into an urban area that is worth living, doing bussiness and investing.

Hieu asked experts and scientists to discuss scientific grounds and facts to identify outstanding values and unique advantages of Ninh Binh; andexchange views on building and advertising local brand names based on the heritage values after 30 years of re-establishment.

He also proposed participants deliberate how to balance the preservation and development of heritages harmoniously and put forth mechanisms and regulations exclusively reserved for world cultural and natural heritages and national special historical relic sites.

Delegates were expected to evaluate the international and context and the domestic situation, the effects of the northern key economic zone's development on Ninh Binh as well as challenges and opportunities to the province's socio-economic development.

At the opening session, Chairman of the Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc delivered a report on defining characters of Ninh Binh in combination with building local brand names.
