Secretary of provincial Party Committee visits Bo Bat pottery village

The Bo Bat pottery village in Bach Lien hamlet dated back over 3,000 years ago and is the origin of Bat Trang ceramics craft village today.

The Bo Bat Pottery Cooperative was established in 2018, covers a total area of more than 5,000 sq.m, and generates stable jobs for 27 workers with a salary of 7 - 8 million VND/person/month.

The Bo Bat Pottery Cooperative is the first and only cooperation of Bach Lien hamlet after nearly 1,000 years of falling into oblivion. It has gained certain successes in restoring pottery products which are rated as the best quality and have increasingly affirmed their position on the market.

However, during the process of development, the Bo Bat Pottery Cooperative has encountered difficulties such as access to loans, premises for expanding production scale, human resource training and supply of raw materials.

The cooperative's representative expressed his hope to receive support from the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and leaders of departments, sectors and localities so that it could develop further in conformity with its potential and strengths.

Huan hoped that the cooperative would continue its efforts to restore the pottery village and produce high-quality products, thus creating jobs for local labourers.

The cooperative needs to apply scientific achievements and improve product designsas well as the manufacturing and management process in a bid to expand production scale and build the brand name for Bo Bat pottery, thus serving trade and tourism, he said.

Huan also asked departments, sectors, and localities to create mechanisms and policies to assist the Bo Bat Pottery Cooperative.

Later, the delegation visited the Man Bac archaeological site in Bach Lien hamlet in Yen Thanh commune of Yen Mo district.
