Secretary of the Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha on August 25 led a delegation to inspect COVID-19 prevention and control work at some checkpoints and units in the province.

The delegation visited and encouraged the staff of the Ninh Binh Center for Disease Control (CDC), which has provided consultancy for the provincial steering committee for COVID-19 prevention and control and the health sector in issueing documents related to COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
The CDC has directly monitored, investigated and localised pandemic outbreaks and licensed SARS-CoV-2 testing for some units. It has also received, stored and transported COVID-19 vaccines.
Ha asked the center to take the initiative and stay ready to cope with new developments of the pandemic; prepare sufficient medical equipment and supplies for medical wokers in conducting their assigned tasks. At the same time, it must enhance their support to local medical establishments in the fight against COVID-19.
Later, the delegation examined COVID-19 prevention and control checkpoints at Non Nuoc bridge (Ninh Binh city) and Doc Xay (Tam Diep city).
Ha and the delegation encouraged those working at these checkpoints to overcome difficulties and asked them to heighten their sense of responsibility, allocate sufficient forces, ensure material conditions, strictly control vehicles and people travelling to Ninh Binh in a bid to prevent the risk of COVID-19 infection in the province.
The delegation also inspected material conditions of a concentrated quarantine establishment at Dong Huong kindergarten and Con Thoi general clinic in Kim son district.

The Con Thoi general clinic is providing treatment for 37 mild and asymptomatic COVID-19 patients.
The official spoke highly of the efforts of the forces working at the Con Thoi medical facility, especially doctors and nurses who have directly taken care for COVID-19 patients.
She expressed her wish that these officers, soldiers and medical workers continue to taking care for COVID-19 patients, fulfilling their tasks with the highest goal of protecting the health and lives of local people.
Ha anticipated that the COVID-19 pandemic will worsen and become more complicated in the coming time with a high risk of community infection, therefore, the COVID-19 prevention and control work will see more difficulties and hardships.
Ha asked the entire political systemof the province to focus on COVID-19 prevention and control, heighten vigilance against the pandemic and apply COVID-19 prevention and control measures in a flexible and creative manner following pandemic developments.
