Secretary of the Ninh Binh provincial Party committee Nguyen Thi Thanh, who is also alternative member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and head of the province's National Assembly Deputies' group, had a working session with leading officials of Kyoei Steel Vietnam in the province on July 23.
Kyoei Steel Vietnam (KSVC), a subsidiary of the Japanese company Kyoei Steel, was founded in 2011 and is based in Ninh Binh province. It is a leading company in manufacturing steel products, including rolls and bars. In 2013, the KSVC reported an output of 281,019 tons, with a revenue of nearly 2.6 trillion VND ( 118,001 USD), creating jobs for 240 employees, and paying 1.8 billion VND (84,925 USD) to the State budget. In the first six months of 2014, its output reached 103,607 tons, with a revenue of 1.203 trillion VND, paying 870 million VND to the State budget. Currently, the company is facing difficulties due to fluctuations in markets and prices. A pioneer in applying new standard (QCVN7) in manufacturing, the company found it hard to sell products as old-standard steel are still traded in the market. Speaking at the working session, Thanh spoke highly of the achievement of the KSVC. The KSVC needs to pay more attention to quality and price of the products, she said.In the coming time, the company should boost communication and marketing works to popularise the high quality of its products, she added. Provincial leading officials said they hoped the KSVC would accelerate the construction of its second factory in Khanh Phu Industrial Zone, and committed that Ninh Binh will provide the KSVC with the best conditions to operate efficiently, thus supplying the best quality products to the domestic market.
