The Party leader's entourage includes Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Head of the Party Central Committee Office Tran Quoc Vuong, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations Hoang Binh Quan, Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang, Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang, Assistant to Secretary General Ho Mau Ngoat, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ho Xuan Son, Deputy Minister of Defence Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quy Vuong, President of the Vietnam National University in Hanoi Phung Xuan Nha and Vietnamese Ambassador to India Nguyen Thanh Tan.
Also making the trip are Assistant to Secretary General Aide Vu Dung, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations Vuong Thua Phong, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee Office Le Quang Vinh, Deputy Minister of Finance Vu Thi Mai, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration Truong Thi Thong, Permanent Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union's Central Committee Phan Van Mai and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
According to the agenda, Secretary General Nguyen Phu Trong will hold talks with India Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, meet with Indian President Pranab Mukherjee, Vice President cum Chairman of the Rajya Sabha Hamid Ansari and Speaker of the Lok Sabha Meira Kumar, as well as leaders of the Indian National Congress, the People's Party, the Communist Party of India and the Communist Party of India (Marxist).
During the four days in India, the Party chief will also tour Mumbai in Maharashtra state, attend the Mumbai Business Forum, visit and talk with staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representative of the Vietnamese community in India.
