Second session of provincial People's Council opens

The opening session saw the attendance of Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and head of the province's delegation of NA deputies Nguyen Thi Thu Ha; Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Council Tran Hong Quang; and Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc, among others.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the provincial People's Council Tran Hong Quang said that the session will give ideas on many important issues. It will review the implementation of socio-economic development, security and defence; and state budget spending and collection tasks in the first half of  2021.

The session will consider and define key tasks and solutions for the remaining months of this year, he said.

It will also discuss and approve 57 draft resolutions, including those related to local people lives; COVID-19 prevention and control; and investment of some projects, and contribute ideas to other documents mentioned in the session.

After the opening, Permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Tong Quang Thin presented a brief report on the performance of socio-economic development tasks in the first half and orientations and focal tasks for the second half of the year.

Due to complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the second session of the 15th Ninh Binh People's Council will be shortened and conclude later on the same day.
