The Centre is critical as SVW is making efforts to fight illegal catch and trade of wild animals in general, and carnivore and pangolin in particular.The inauguration of the Centre on World Pangolin Day (February 20) will help raise the community's awareness of conservation and welfare of carnivores and pangolins.
Executive Director of Save Vietnam's Wildlife Nguyen Van Thai said, "The Centre was found on the critical need for more effective solutions to secure a future for Vietnamese wildlife.The construction of a Carnivore and Pangolin Conservation and Education Centre aims to educate and raise awareness in the conservation and welfare of carnivores and pangolins from extinction amongst visitors to Cuc Phuong National Park."
The Carnivore and Pangolin Conservation and Education Centre is located inside CucPhuong National park and was officially opened to visitors from February 20, 2016.
