The Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee has held a monthly meeting to evaluate the province's socio-economic development situation in August and set out orientations and tasks for September.

The 15th National Assembly (NA) on June 27 passed the law on national defence-security industry and industrial mobilisation in its ongoing seventh plenary session.

Ninh Binh is among a few provinces and centrally run-cities nationwide enjoyed positive industrial production growth in 2023. The outcome was attributed to the industry and trade sector's synchronic measures to remove difficulties for local bussinesses, thereby helping to spur industrial production growth and maintain its growth momentum. This year, the province is striving to reach industrial production growth target of 8.7%.

After nearly 30 years, industrial parks in Vietnam have made a major contribution to the country's economic development. However, industrial parks have not paid much attention to green and sustainable development to reduce the negative impacts on the environment.

Ninh Binh province's industrial production value was estimated to reach over 7.57 trillion VND (301 million USD) in March, up 1.3%. The province has been carrying out measures to boost industrial production.

The Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee has asked departments, sectors, and People's Committees of districts and cities to enhance the management and development of industrial clusters, and increase inspections and settlement of violations related to construction investment and land issues.

Industrial production of enterprises in Ninh Binh province in the first quarter of 2024 has recovered and recorded slight growth compared to the same period last year, according to the provincial Statistics Office. In recent years, the northern province of Ninh Binh has stepped up the planning and construction of infrastructure at industrial clusters in a bid to attract secondary investors. These moves have helped Ninh Binh to restructure economic sectors, provide more jobs for local labourers, thereby contributing to the implementation of socio- economic tasks.

Inspite of numerous difficulties and challenges in 2022, Ninh Binh province's industrial production maintained its high growth, reaching over 99.5 trillion VND (4.24 billion USD), a year-on-year rise of 7.2%.

In the past years, Ninh Binh has stepped up planning and investment in infrastructure construction in a bid to attract secondary investors into industrial clusters.

Enterprises in Ninh Binh province's industrial parks (IPs) are making efforts to boost production, thereby fulfilling their yearly tasks and plans. In addition, administrations at all levels, departments and sectors, have always accompanied the enterprises to ease difficulties in terms of mechanisms and polices in a bid to help them revive and develop production and business activities.

Ninh Binh province has planned 25 industrial clusters on a total area of 946.3 hectares by 2025, according to Decision No.1496/QD-UBND of the provincial People's Committee dated December 31, 2015.

As our country gradually adapts and effectively controls the COVID-19 pandemic, the domestic industrial production has recovered quite strongly, helping resume the supply chain in the processing and manufacturing industries, with increasing production output and new orders.

The index of industrial production posted a year-on-year rise of 8.8 percent in the first seven months of this year.
